Had a great evening with the kids last night at their hotel in Baltimore. Looked at the photos and talked. We enjoyed their company and had great Thai food.
We decided to get on the road as the kids had many things that needed to be done before David Jr. flew back to New Zealand.
Our final destination for the evening was New London, CT where my Aunt Joan and Uncle Larry live. We were able to skirt around NYC to avoid the heavy traffic. We got stuck in a couple of traffic slowdowns but after about 8 hours of driving we arrived safe and sound.
Decided dinner would be pizza at 2 Wives Pizza in downtown New London and it was great. We had the specialty pizza - pear and gorganzola and it was delicious. The other pizza we ordered was just as good -the bistro - which had lots of meat on it. To top it off was a wonderful buttermilk chocolate cake. We were able to polish it off with four forks.
Not sure what tomorrow bring. Lots of options.
