Wednesday, September 29 - Day 27

We ate dinner last night at Burgers in Mammoth Lakes, CA where we also stayed for the evening at a Motel 6. Dave and I both got a ½ pound burger – he had buffalo and I had beef. Great burgers! The waitress suggested we try a breakfast at Silver Lake Resort – which was on our way to Yosemite. It also was a good recommendation – we had the Miner's Special – 2 eggs, bacon, home fries and toast, plus we ordered a side of blueberry pancakes with powdered sugar. Now I know how Tommy can eat them without syrup. These needed nothing.

Dave got up this morning and thought that we were close to Truckee, CA and decided to head over there. We met Dave's sister, Lucia, at a restaurant there which was perched on top of a hill overlooking Truckee. She was there visiting her daughters.

Other thoughts: while we were in Hurricane, UT a few nights ago, we looked in the phone book for catholic churches because it was Saturday and we like to find masses while we are traveling. The were four pages for Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and only 4 listings for catholic churches – not of which were close.

Will send photos later.
