Monday, October 11 - Day 39

Up at 6:30 and followed Paul to his office where he showed us where we could get the car serviced. The garage says that it needs to have bearings on the back wheels, plus it was going to have an oil change. We ended up using Paul's car and went to White Castle and ran some other errands. Went to the Confluence Tower where you can see the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers coming together. Also visited the Camp River Dubois where “Meriwether Lewis and William Clark spent 5 months preparing for the mission to find the most direct and practicable water communication across this continent for the purposes of commerce. That was established December 12, 1803 near the confluence of the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers. On May 14, 1804 Clark and 33 men of the Corps of Discovery set out in their 55-foot long supply-filled keel boat on the journey that would become a historical legend.”

Got back to their place around 4:30 and got ready for a family gathering with great food.
